What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help websites remember you and keep you logged in. Cut Lists uses cookies and a small amount of local storage to provide a smooth, secure experience.

Essential storage we use

  • Authentication storage — keeps you logged in securely between visits.
  • Preference storage — remembers choices such as your theme and your cookie preference.
  • Security tokens — help protect your account and session from unauthorised access.

These are necessary for Cut Lists to work and are not used for advertising.

Optional analytics

With your permission, Cut Lists uses Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-B7G9NNSK43) to understand how visitors use the website and app, for example which pages are visited and how the service is used. We use this information to improve Cut Lists.

Google Analytics is off by default. The Google Analytics tag is not loaded and analytics data is not sent to Google until you select Accept analytics in our cookie banner. We do not use Google Analytics for advertising, remarketing, or to build advertising profiles.

Your choice

You can accept or reject analytics without affecting your ability to use Cut Lists. You can change your choice at any time using Cookie Settings in the website footer. If you withdraw consent, analytics is disabled for future activity on that device.

Managing essential storage

You can also clear cookies and local storage through your browser or device settings. If you clear essential authentication storage, you may need to log in again. Your Cut Lists, requests and messages remain stored in your school's account according to our retention policy.
